It feels like just yesterday I was holding your newborn infant body in my arms. I promised myself on that day that I would do everything in my power to love and protect you.
Now you talk incessantly about Zac Efron and High School Musical and think your dad is goofy. Where did the time go? When did you become such a big girl?
Don't grow up too fast little one. I'm greedy and don't want to share you. When you're away I miss your smile, laughter and the silliness you inherited from your dad.
I love you sweet daughter. I'm proud of who you are and that you have a true desire to do that which is good and right. And while it pains me that you're growing up so quickly I marvel at the young women you will one day become, but for now I'm excited for the second grade. Go get them!
